Located in the heart of the South Downs National Park,  get ready for a beautiful ride.

With the South Downs Way running just South of the village centre, the river Arun making a natural border to the West, Wildbrooks to the North and the Parham house and gardens to the East, Amberley is the perfect get away to re-connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Although a small village, Amberley parish has a lot to offer including Amberley Industrial Museum, a castle (now a hotel), 2 cafes, 4 pubs, a village store (offering local products), boat hire, a working pottery and accommodation to suit all needs. We also have a Railway Station feeding North into London Victoria (1 hour 34 minutes) and South to Chichester, Southampton and beyond. Amberley is neighbour to the bigger towns/villages of Arundel (the home of the Duke of Norfolk), Storrington & Pulborough - all accessible off road using the South Downs trails! Just to the west of the village is also Houghton Forest (known locally as Whiteways) with its natural single tracks and jumps to play in.

There is loads to do in the area..

As well as Cycle hire and Amberley Industrial Museum, there are plenty of other things to see and do. Here are some other ideas;

Just taking a walk or cycle around the village with its many thatched cottages, quaint dwellings and a 12th century historic Church would be enough to transport you back in time. Then perhaps stop for homemade cake at Amberley Village Tea room or pop in the village shop to buy some local produce, both right in the heart of the village.

You can also access and leave the village from many footpaths and bridleways as well of course by road. From Hog lane, there is a footpath leading out of the village to the Wildbrooks or follow the road from Crossgates to Rackham forest and its sandy banks. A popular place for local dog walkers!

Boat Hire is available on the River Arun which is also home to the Riverside Tea Room - www.dinebytheriver.co.uk/boat-hire

There are 4 fantastic pubs, each with differentiating styles and views.

The Perfect way to finish your ride out!
