With the South Downs Way running just South of the village centre, the river Arun making a natural border to the West, Wildbrooks to the North and the Parham house and gardens to the East, Amberley is the perfect get away to re-connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Although a small village, Amberley parish has a lot to offer including Amberley Industrial Museum, a castle (now a hotel), 2 cafes, 4 pubs, a village store (offering local products), boat hire, a working pottery and accommodation to suit all needs. We also have a Railway Station feeding North into London Victoria (1 hour 34 minutes) and South to Chichester, Southampton and beyond. Amberley is neighbour to the bigger towns/villages of Arundel (the home of the Duke of Norfolk), Storrington & Pulborough - all accessible off road using the South Downs trails! Just to the west of the village is also Houghton Forest (known locally as Whiteways) with its natural single tracks and jumps to play in.
